Obituary

Pierre Jean Therien, 64, of Boynton Beach Florida, formerly of Fort Lauderdale Florida, and originally  from Montreal Canada, passed away November 21, 2021. He was surrounded by his family at home.

The son of John and Claire Therien. He is survived by his mother Claire Therien, his two sons John P.  Therien and Michael J. Therien, the love of his life, Deb Therien, and his two brothers Gilles Therien and  Luke Therien.

He attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, graduating in 1975, and soon started  working as a manager for his father's business at Banana Boat Restaurant in Boynton Beach. He worked in the family business for over 40 years. He opened his own restaurant in 2003 in Fort Pierce, named The  Governor's Grille. In late 2004 Hurricane Frances decided to hit Fort Pierce head-on and later forced him  to close, and he was soon back in the family business. He stayed in the Family business until his  retirement in 2020.

He will be remembered for his big heart, passion for cooking and music, and his love for fishing and  boating, and of course his two dogs, Marco & Polo.
