Age 82 of Boynton Beach, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. He was born April 1, 1927 in Mansfield, OH to Paul E. and Ruth H. Whipp. After graduating from Mansfield Senior High School in 1945, Ralph served in the US Army until 1948. He then moved to New York City to study and follow his dream of professional dancing and danced in a few Broadway musicals. Ralph was employed by CalTex Oil Co. in New York City for over 30 years before moving to Boynton Beach, FL in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Otto Nothelfer. Ralph is survived by his brother, Donald R. Whipp (Marlene) of Montclair, CA; nephews, Scott A. Whipp (Yolanda) of Moraga, CA, Marc D. Whipp of Paso Robles, CA and Eric P. Whipp (Jodie) of San Dimas, CA; niece, Lisa Ann Whipp Flores (Tom) of Temecula, CA; and 16 great nieces and nephews.
Ralph had many close friends in Boynton Beach, FL and his family appreciates the love and care they provided him over many years.
A Visitation will be held from 10am until an 11am Funeral Service on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. Interment will follow at Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
