Raymond Edward Brooks II's Obituary

Raymond Edward Brooks II (Ray), born May 28, 1968, in Cheektowaga, New York, passed away April 01, 2026 in his home after a long battle with diabetes.

Ray was the youngest of four, growing up alongside his sisters Dawn, Valerie, and Susan. He was raised by his loving parents, Carol Pepe and Raymond Edward Brooks Sr., who instilled in him a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the simple joys of life.

From an early age, Ray loved being outdoors and staying active. He enjoyed playing baseball, hockey, and football, passions that carried him through his years at West Seneca West High School, where he graduated.

In the 1990s, Ray relocated to Florida, where he began working at Motorola. It is here that he met Debbie and they welcomed their son, Raymond Edward Brooks III, who was a central source of pride and joy in his life.

In 1999, Ray met the love of his life, Norma. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home in Lake Worth, Florida, where they raised their family, including Norma’s children, Pedro Valentin and Carlos Figueroa who he loved as his own. Ray cherished watching all of his children grow and took great pride in being a father, husband and grandfather to his grandchildren Madison Avery Valentin, Morgan Ann Brooks, and Raymond Edward Brooks IV.

Throughout his life, Ray had many roles in construction. He most recently worked as a Construction Superintendent for Rodrigues Metal Framing and Dry Wall where he worked for the last seven years. He was known for his dedication, attention to detail and expertise in the field.

Ray will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, love of the Buffalo Bills, and his ability to find joy in life’s smallest moments. He is survived by his devoted wife, Norma Brooks; his sisters; his sons; three grandchildren; and extended family who will carry forward his love, laughter, and zest for life.

“Be good, do good, God bless, and Go Bills”- Josh Allen
