Richard Dennis Caldwell, 75, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on December 7, 2022. Richard was born November 9, 1947 in White Plains, New York. He was the son of Jacques and Jeanne Caldwell. Richard is survived by his wife, Angela Caldwell, his 3 children, Jodi (Wayne Seal) Caldwell, Bryan (Cathy) Caldwell, and Becky (Brian) Richardson; his grandchildren, Ava, Alex, Tripp, Jacob, and Cayden. He is predeceased by his brother, Dr. Jacques Caldwell and his sister Karen Garcia. He is survived by his sister Kathleen Stoughton, 3 brothers, James, Michael, and Edwin Caldwell and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Richard graduated from Kent State University in 1970 with a major in Political Science. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. While in college he participated in swimming for 4 years. He was an Intramural Swimming Champion winning medals for individual medley; butterfly; and freestyle. At 29 years old he was elected to the City Council of Boynton Beach, FL, making him the youngest person to ever serve on the City Council at the time.
Richard was the President/Owner of Service Financial Associates, Inc. and was an Insurance Consultant that specialized in financial planning and products for individual executives for 46+ years.
He was a disaster relief volunteer for the American Red Cross. He enjoyed offering his help and time volunteering, especially with many of the major FL hurricanes over the years such as Katrina and Ian to name a few.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Mark Catholic Church on Saturday, January 14 2023 at 12:00pm. The family will receive friends from 3pm to 5pm Saturday, January 14, 2022 at the funeral home.
