Richard Douglas Frazier (97) of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on January 13, 2022.  He was preceded in death by Iris Frazier, his loving wife of 65 years, and his two sons Gregory Frazier and Tyrone Frazier. 

 Douglas was born February 25, 1924, in Washington, DC.  After working for the United States Postal Service, he began his career at the United States Capitol as a congressional chauffeur for Gerald Ford while he was Speaker of the House.  Once Gerald Ford became Vice President, Douglas continued as Betty Ford's chauffeur at his request.  After retiring from the government, he stayed in DC for a number of years to continue his successful peanut business. 

 Once Douglas and his wife left Washington, they spent many happy years on their 100-acre farm in Pennsylvania.  They also lived on a farm in Virginia for several years before permanently relocating to South Florida in 2011 to be near family. 

 Douglas was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.  He was an avid walker typically strolling his neighborhood several times a day.  He also enjoyed puzzles, Motown music, classic western movies, and musicals. 

 Douglas is survived by his grandchildren: Brian, Kelli, Scott, and Michael; 10 great grandchildren; nephews: Charles, Gary, Victor and Robert; Niece: Laurie; along with a number of great nieces and nephews. 

 A private memorial service is planned to take place on Saturday January 29, 2022 for immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, for those who wish may make a memorial donation in his honor to any of the following organizations:
