Richard Carl Hansen, age 87, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on November 29, 2025. Richard was born on April 14, 1938 in Hoboken, NJ to Joseph and Antoinette Hansen.

He was married to his wife Barbara for 53 years, they moved from Hoboken to Boynton Beach, FL in 2001.

Richard (Richie) was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 1950's. He became a member of Hoboken Elks Lodge No. 74 in 1973. Serving on many committees, as well as playing Santa Claus at the annual Special Children's Christmas Parties. He was elected to the position of Exalted Ruler in 1987 after serving in other leadership positions.

Richie was loved by everyone he met. He had a knack for telling jokes and making people laugh, and he cherished every moment spent with his friends and family.

He leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law George and Kimberly Maihack of Jupiter, FL, 2 grandchildren, Quinn Maihack and Sierra Maihack, a large and loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many others who held him dear including his close companion Rae Tabano and her family. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Hansen.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, Boynton Beach, FL on Monday, January 12th at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richie's honor to your favorite charity.
