It is with great sorrow that the family of Richard Lucarelli announce that he has passed away at home on
October 24, 2023 at the age of 45 after battling a long illness. He was preceded in death by his mother
Catherine Lucarelli. He is survived by his father Joseph Lucarelli, sister Nicole Lucarelli, nephews Michael
and Joseph, aunts, uncles, and friends.

A Florida native, he was a lover of all aspects of the ocean. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, scuba diving,
snorkeling, boating and surfing. Being in the ocean afforded him a deep sense of freedom, peace and
happiness. Memories of him enjoying Sombrero Lighthouse off of Marathon Key will remain fondly in
our hearts forever. He was also an animal lover who adored his faithful companion Beans, a sweet roti
mix. They were inseparable best friends. He had a thirst for knowledge, and learned everything he
could about his disease, rivaling the knowledge of most of the doctors he encountered. He was happiest
when surrounded by family and friends who will remember how he walked through life with courage
and bravery, and chose to fight until the end. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. Rest in eternal
peace our beloved Richard.
