Obituary

Richard Ferazi passed away on August 1, 2024.

Born October 7th, 1966 in Brooklyn, NY to Richard and Barbara Ferazi, Rick grew up in East Meadow, Long Island, where he still has many friends and family. He spent his days playing hockey and spending time with his cousins and friends. He graduated from East Meadow High School and then went on to attend Nassau Community College.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and after completing his service he moved to South Florida. It is there where he met, the love of his life, his wife Angela. They spent nearly 32 years happily married. He was happiest when he was spending time with his wife and children (Samantha, Francesca and Nicholas).

He started his career as a financial advisor at Prudential Securities and eventually was able to open his own brokerage firm, Geoffrey Richard's Securities. He retired in 2020.

He was heavily involved in the community and coached countless baseball teams for his son Nick. He loved fishing and shared that love with all who knew him. Being on the water is where he felt most relaxed. On any given weekend you could find him at Peanut Island, blasting his music, sitting in the water, drink in hand with a group of friends laughing.

He always dreamt of moving to Italy and two years ago his dream became a reality; splitting their time equally between South Florida and Montopoli in Val d'Arno Italy. He loved spending time tending to his olive grove, entertaining friends and family, and going on adventures with his wife Angela.

Though his life was much too short, he truly enjoyed his life and woke up every morning ready to live.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angela (Dickinson)Ferazi, their three children Samantha Ferazi (Sami), Francesca Ferazi (Frankie) and Nicholas Ferazi (Nick), his mother Barbara Ferazi, his sister Nancy Simile and brother in law John Simile and his mother in law Marcia Ginsburg, sisters in law Lisa Perkett, Victoria Ginsburg and Jennifer Ginsburg and brother in law Scott Bourdeau He also leaves behind countless Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by his father, Richard Ferazi, and father in law Michael Ginsburg.
