Resident of Boynton Beach, FL. Rita Martha was welcomed into the arms of the Lord peacefully at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL after a sudden illness at the age of 73. Rita was born in Michigan on November 10, 1936. She was raised by her hardworking mother, Annette, Aunt Martha and Uncle Martin. She met and married her husband, Angelo Adamo, in Adelaide, Australia on October 18, 1958. She and her husband lived in Australia until 1960 where she enjoyed getting to know and live with Angelo's family. Rita went on to live in Detroit, Michigan until 1961, and Farmingdale, New York until 1989. In 1989, Rita and Angelo moved to Boynton Beach, Florida. Rita enjoyed working at Florida Atlantic University's outdoor education extension program, Pine Jog, where she retired last spring. Rita enjoyed giving back to her community volunteering at Boynton Beach's public library and Bethesda Memorial Hospital knitting caps for newborns. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family, going out to dinner, movies, and playing cards and bunco. Rita was a long time member of St. Thomas More Church in Boynton Beach.
Rita cherished her family, including her husband, Angelo. Beloved mother of Julie (Sal) Mignano, and Linda (Steve) Chicarella. Loving grandmother of Christina and Anthony Mignano, Lindsey and Michael Chicarella. Loving sister of William (Yvonne) Wade. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annette Wade. Her family will remember her for her undying love of them, never giving a second thought to hopping on a plane to spend holidays with her family in California and New York and enjoying the special occasions of her grandchildren.
