Rita Maloney, 97, of Boynton Beach, Fl, passed away on April 28, 2025, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Dunellen, NJ, she later moved with her husband and children to Florida over 50 years ago. She is predeceased by her husband John Maloney and sister Audrey Nagy. Survived by her daughter Jacqueline (Maloney) Green, sons Michael and Thomas, daughter-in-law Lisa and many nieces and nephews. Rita enjoyed the beach and being outdoors and until her later years walked several miles a day. She was very dedicated to her family and loved being with them and her friends. Rita worked for many years as an administrative assistant at North Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach. After her retirement from the hospital, she later worked part time, until the age of 82, at the Fort Lauderdale Heart Group.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church at 11am on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Rita will be privately inurned at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
