Robert C. Irwin
Age 92, of Delray Beach, Fl. passed away December 8, 2008. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio in 1916, where he owned and operated the family business Franklin Machine Works, established in 1856. An avid boater, he was a charter member of Atwood Yacht Club in Ohio. He was also a 32nd degree Mason.
Robert was preceded in death by wife Mary Ellen Irwin in 1999, and is survived by sons Robert Irwin, Jr. of Damascus, Md. and William Irwin of Boca Raton, Fl, and a daughter Jo Ann Irwin Diaz of Delray Beach, Fl. His grandchildren are Dr. Brian Irwin, Wm. Matthew Irwin, Jennifer Irwin, Jessica Niederpruem, and Trisha Chmil. Great-grandchildren are Andrew, Kristina, and Reid. A Funeral Service will be held 1pm, Friday, December 12, 2008 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. Friends may visit starting at 12noon. Entombment will take place at the Boca Raton Mausoleum. Contributions may be made to the Boynton Lodge #236, 2701 Quantum Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33426.
