Robert B. Reed, age 69, died March 17, 2015, at home in Boynton Beach, Florida where he had lived since 1978. He was born on November 13, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Robert and Lois Reed. He was raised in the Pittsburgh area until his family moved to South Florida in 1956 and graduated from Pompano Beach High School. He attended the University of Florida through law school and served the Boynton Beach community as an attorney for the past 42 years. He was the Boynton Beach City Attorney 1976 through 1978. He enjoyed all Florida Gator sports and especially enjoyed playing tennis and going for bicycle rides. His second home was the paradise island of Aruba. He is survived by his wife, Kay M. Reed of Boynton Beach; sons Darin M. Reed (Michele) of Woodland, CA and Eric C. Reed (Caroline) of Orlando; daughter, Kristina L. Reed of Boynton Beach; sisters Michelle Janowich (Michael) of Holly Springs, NC, Marjorie Krotzer (Kevin) of Stuart, FL, and Charlene Piser of Wilmington, DE. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Morgan Reed and Reagan Reed. There will be a visitation from 5:30 – 7:00 pm on Thursday (today), March 19, 2015, at BOYNTON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, with a service at 6:30 pm.
