Ronnie Ellen Bodle

nee Cohen

The only child of Abraham and Bella Cohen, Ronnie was born in Brooklyn New York on March 25, 1950.  Ronnie married August 19, 1984, and remained married until her untimely death November 5, 2021. She is survived by her husband, three children, and one grandchild.

Ronnie had a varied life.  She worked in medical administration prior to her marriage.  After marriage, Ronnie and family moved often as a US Foreign Service family.  In Jamaica, Ronnie gathered expatriate spending data for an international survey company.  Upon subsequent transfer to France, Ronnie sold items to diplomats and other visitors to the US Embassy Paris gift shop.  Later living in Charleston, South Carolina, Ronnie continued her retail work in jewelry, clothing, and furniture establishments.

The passing of her mother while in South Carolina ended her outside career.  She then devoted her time to caring for her family - including her father.  Abraham stayed with the family for their second Paris assignment and their later return to Charleston until his demise in 2004.  In that same year, Ronnie was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer.

Following her husband's retirement from the Foreign Service, the family moved to South Florida.
