IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosaria M.
Badame
March 22, 1969 – July 19, 2020
Rosaria Maria Badame, 51, died peacefully at Trustbridge Hospice after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Rosaria was born on March 22, 1969 to Ninfa (Battaglia) and Giuseppe Badame in Sciara, Sicily. She and her family emigrated to the United States in 1972, settling in Bronx, New York. Rosaria attended local schools and was a 1987 graduate of St. Catherine's High School in Bronx, New York. After completing studies at Iona College, New York, Rosaria's passion for helping others led her to complete a degree as a Radiology Technician.
Rosaria later relocated to Florida and worked as an integral member of the health care team, working alongside physicians at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood, Florida to diagnose and treat patients with a myriad of diseases and conditions.
Rosaria will be remembered for her zest for life and her love of family. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed cruises, learning about different cultures and traditions, and her love of animals. Her greatest joy was being a mother to her cherished daughter and love of her life, Elizabeth.
Rosaria is survived by her parents, Ninfa and Giuseppe Badame and her daughter, Elizabeth Badame. She is also survived by her brother, Santo Badame, sister-in-law Tina Neri-Badame, nephew Joseph, and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Italy and the U.S.
