Obituary

Salvatore "Tony" Russo, Boynton Beach, Florida, born July 20, 1924 passed away on December 27, 2020 of natural causes.

Born in Franklin, NJ he moved to Florida after retiring from Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ, where he worked as a program analyst. He then had a second career as a purchasing agent for L. Eckelstone Land Development in West Palm Beach where he worked until the age of 85.

Tony is survived by his brother Charles of Mine Hill, NJ, his loving and devoted wife, Christine, one daughter, Nancy Steiner (Jeffrey) of Boynton Beach. He had been preceded in death by two sons, Randy A. and Randy A II, two grandchildren, Dr. Joshua Croland of Peoria, Illinois and Melissa Croland-Brandt of Santa Cruz, Ca. and 4 great grandchildren.

He was a World War II veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He loved all sports growing up and continued to play golf and bowl until recently.

He was a past member of the Wharton and Dover Masonic lodge.

Visitation will be at the Boynton Memorial Chapel from 2-4pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 (following CDC guidelines.)

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue, West Palm Beach, Florida.
