Mr. Cordovano, age 69, died Saturday morning, February 13, 2010. Sam was born November 6, 1940, in Buffalo, NY. He owned and operated the original Canterbury Restaurant in Amherst, NY, for 20 years before moving to Florida with his family. Sam was the general manager at the Dolphin Restaurant in Boynton Beach and most recently the Someplace Restaurant in Lake Park.
He is survived by his wife Alice of Boynton Beach; his daughter and son-in-law Kristin and Paul Pohl of Delray Beach; two grandchildren Milena and Briana; his sister and brother-in-law Linda and Bill Miller of Pendleton, NY. Sam was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by his family and many friends. He will live in our hearts forever.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2010, at BOYNTON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 800 West Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. Those who wish may make contributions to The ARC, c/o Potentials South Charter School, 701 NW 35th Street, Boca Raton, FL 33431, in his memory.
