Sandra H. "Sandy" Fricker age 84 of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away after a short and unexpected illness on October 4th, 2025. She was born on January 5th, 1941, in Batavia, New York.
Sandra was born and raised in Batavia, New York where she met and married her beloved husband, Jim. They soon moved their young family to Dunkirk, New York, eventually settling and raising their three children in Van Buren Bay, New York. In 1992 They relocated to Boynton Beach, Florida where they built a home surrounded by loving family, neighbors, and friends. In her golden years, she enjoyed relaxing in her pool, entertaining friends and family, and hosting family holidays. She ensured her home was always welcoming. Sandra was an active member of The Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-The Sea and enjoyed attending services there regularly.
Sandy is survived by her three children, James "Jamie" Fricker (Nancy) of Sugar Hill, Georgia. Scott Fricker, of Miami Beach, Florida, And Jodi Linsley (Todd) of Alpharetta, Georgia. Her beloved grandchildren, Maxwell "Max" Linsley of West Palm Beach, Florida and Catherine "Cate" Linsley of Boynton Beach, Florida. Her sister Lesley Carney (Ed) of Batavia, New York and her brother Robin Hawkins (Peter) of Lake Worth, Florida. Including nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Fricker and her parents Robert C. and May B. Hawkins. There will be no calling hours, and a private service and burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to one of her favorite places on earth, Van Buren Bay Association, Inc. in memory of Sandra Fricker, Box 210, Dunkirk, New York 14048.
