SARAH  BELLE ("Sally") PRICHARD DYE died peacefully in Delray Beach, Florida on January10, 2025 at age 95.  She was born in 1929 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Walter Prichard and Mary Welborn Prichard.  Sally graduated with honors from Indiana University having been honored as a Pepsi Cola Scholar and receiving a full scholarship and later earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University.  She was a lifetime member of PEO, an active leader in the Florida Conference of the United Church of Christ and secretary to the Rotary Club of Delray Beach for a number of years.  Sally was an avid Indiana University basketball fan (Go Hoosiers!) and loved to read anything and everything, but especially liked autobiographies.  Above all else, Sally loved her black dogs, who are reunited with her at last.  She was predeceased by her parents, former husband Rev. Joseph T. Dye, son Jay Dye, grandson Jason Dye, and great-grandson Shane Minchew.  She is survived by her sister, Nancy Kamman; children, Frances Minchew, Janet (Steve) Magee, Candace (Emil) Etzler; daughter-in-law, Susan (Hoffman) Dye; grandchildren Matthew (Jana) Minchew, Megan Magee (Aaron Sikora), Joseph (Kristina) Dye, Charles Magee (Casey Salerno), and Eli Etzler along with great-grandchildren, Jason Magee, Wyatt Caswell, Ellis Caswell, Trace Minchew, Trent Minchew, Liam Johns, Magnolia Belle Sikora, Joseph Hayslip Dye, Theodore Magee and Seth Minchew.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Palms, Congregational, 1960 N. Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be welcomed at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue in West Palm Beach, FL or Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Wellington, FL.
