Starts at 11:30 am (Eastern time)
Sean Jameson O’Connor, age 47, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away at home on March 9, 2026. Sean was born on August 7, 1978 in Towson, MD to Jim and Kathy O’Connor. From an early age, when Sean was enthusiastic about something, he was all-in. Sean’s passion and persuasiveness left many through the years wondering just how they’d been convinced to go along with one of his big ideas. You’d be equally likely to find him pitching a new business venture as planning a deep sea fishing trip.
Sean’s earliest passion was for athletics. He regularly spent his childhood afternoons shuttling between the TRC little league diamonds and lacrosse fields. Sean finished his athletic career by playing on the Towson High state championship lacrosse team.
Sean loved spending time with his extended family, especially annual summer trips to Cape May. He also enjoyed fishing at Loch Raven and golfing with his cousins and friends.
Sean never met a stranger. He couldn’t pick up takeout or browse an art show without recruiting a business contact or meeting a new golfing buddy. Sean was known as a problem-solver who would always go the extra mile to help a friend in need, whether he had relevant expertise or not.
Sean had an innate talent for business. At age 10, he grew a few casual lawn-mowing gigs into his first successful venture, subcontracting several friends to corner the neighborhood market.
Sean began his career in real estate at age 19 at the family-owned Mid-Atlantic Title Company in Towson. While serving as vice president there, he partnered in land-development projects to supply lots to national home builders and acted as managing member in private equity finance ventures, often juggling these roles simultaneously.
Sean spent the last decade of his life working at Exit Realty and the Keyes Company in South Florida as an agent and recruiter. He had a particular knack for working with first-time home-buyers and new agents, and was known for his knowledgeable and thoughtful guidance.
Outside of work, Sean spent time coaching youth lacrosse, performing stand-up comedy, collecting statement t-shirts, and traveling against his will.
Sean is survived by his parents, sister KC and her husband Troy, nieces Lorelei and Genevieve, godmother Ellie, many aunts and uncles, and dozens of cousins. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Sean’s life will be held at Eagles Nest Country Club, 12801 Stone Hill Road, Phoenix, MD, on May 20, 2026 at 11:30a.m..
