It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sergio Manuel Perez of Lake Worth, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Christine Perez, his children, Jennifer, William, Jessica and Jonathan and his grandchildren, Carson and Linnea.

Serge was born in Camagüey, Cuba on January 7th, 1963 and raised in Queens, New York by his parents, Manuel and Nelida Perez.

He met the love of his life, Chrisey, and they married in 1986, before moving to Florida to start a family shortly thereafter.

A lover of art and science, he combined those passions into a career in industrial design, working at Sensormatic for 33 years. While raising his family, Serge graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2002, where he went on to attend nearly every Owls home football game since 2001.

To know Serge was to know a brilliant, funny, kind, caring, sweet father. He loved long rides in his Jeep Wrangler and quality time with his family. He could tell you a good dad joke and where to get the best lager in town (Copperpoint).

Services will be held on Monday, November 13th, at 1pm to 3pm and again at 5pm to 7pm, with a celebration of life to follow at his favorite brewery, Copperpoint Brewing.
