Stormet C. Norem, 72, of Ocean Ridge, FL, passed away on January 9, 2023. "Stormi" was born on December 10, 1950 to father Chester Newell Norem and mother Jean Frances Hickey in Sandwich, Illinois.

After high school, Stormi graduated Valedictorian from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA in 1973 and became a Licensed Florida Funeral Director and Embalmer the same year. He then built and opened Boynton Memorial Chapel in 1979 which he has owned and operated for the last 43 years.

Aside from being a successful businessman, Stormi was an extremely active member of the community serving on several boards and city councils throughout the years, including the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce, Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce, Bethesda Healthcare System, Bethesda Memorial Hospital & Foundation, Delray Beach Rotary Club, Leadership Palm Beach County Alumni Association, St. Thomas More Catholic Church and you could always catch him on a golf cart zipping around The Delray Affair.  These are just to name a few from the extensive list of service he gave to his community.

Stormi is survived by his four daughters, Kristi (Nick) Dymond, Kate Norem, Kari (Chris) Hohner, and Kelli (Dustin Olsen) Norem and their mother, Kathy Norem; his grandchildren Logan, Dylan, Gavan, Charlotte, Nate, Storma, Kelstin and Hickory; his sister Cinda Rhodes; niece Ariana Salas and nephew Shane Rhodes. He's also survived by a host of extended family members and friends.

The overwhelming outpouring of love and support the community has already shown to us as a family, speaks volumes for the impact our dad has had on so many people. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 West Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33426. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00am Monday, January 16, 2023 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10935 S. Military Trail, Boynton Beach, FL 33436.
