Obituary

Susan L. Paul, 68, reunited with her husband Joe in her heavenly home on January 22, 2016 after a valiant battle of complications from surgery. Also a two-time bladder cancer survivor, her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in this struggle and ultimately gave her peace that surpasses all understanding.
Sue was born to the late Carl Finnicum and Eileen R. Finnicum, in Columbus, Ohio on June 16, 1947.  She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support from an early age. She was a restaurant owner in Ohio with her first husband John Czug, III and when she and her 4 girls moved to Florida, she started at Dial Bank as a Customer Service Representative; climbed the ladder of success to manager and when the company merged, eventually retired from Wells Fargo as a compliance analyst.
Sue was blessed with a large and loving family. Her beloved husband Joe Paul precedes her in death. Sue raised her four daughters with love, discipline, humility and most often, three jobs. She taught her children responsibility and passed down her true servants heart through the giving of her time, talents and treasure. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels, serving with her eldest daughter Jacquie in women's ministry at her church of 15 years, Christ Fellowship. During her retirement, she was a vital force in raising two of her grandchildren.
Sue was devoted, faithful and giving to all whom affectionately called her Mama; a dedicated prayer warrior, Bible study leader to many women and a member at Christ Fellowship whose leadership in volunteering and serving will be greatly missed. She was an avid Disney Vacation Club Member and regularly took her grandkids and children on vacations! She enjoyed the beach and beating everyone at cards, especially her grandkids! She was a die-hard fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, loved decorating & baking for Christmas, which she passed down to her girls. She had an obsession with Christmas bears that were dated and a real enthusiasm for shoes, handbags and angel pins! Her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator, will dearly miss her. She is now healed, whole and made new. Mama Sue's favorite expression was "Do your best and let Jesus do the rest". May we all live by this motto.
Sue is survived by her daughters Jacquie Ezzo and husband Gino; Tracy Czug, Cynthia Kimbrell and her husband Kenneth, Christina Czug, her 11 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren, the dad of her heart, Arthur Swint, many cousins that were like sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.   She is pre deceased by her parents.
If you would like to honor Sue, please consider making a donation to Place of Hope, Palm Beach Gardens Florida, a unique faith-based, state-licensed children's organization providing family-style foster care (emergency and long-term); she and Joe served together as the first incoming volunteer group setting up the first home for children. This organization was always near and dear to her heart. The efforts of One Blood, a/k/a the Big Red Bus was significant in keeping Sue alive during her last two months of life and any donation of blood, platelets or blood drives would be greatly appreciated. Her honor will "Love On" as you give of your time, talent and treasures and ultimately your heart to Jesus.
