Tammy Nanette Simms, 51, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on June 20, 2026.

Tammy was born on December 7, 1974, in Richmond, Virginia, to Ken and Pam Simms. She is survived by her parents and her siblings, Kenny Simms, Amy Kovach and Brad Simms.

Tammy was born as a special needs baby because of a lack of oxygen. Although she was 51 years old when she passed away, she always remained a four-year-old in her mind and achievements.

Tammy graduated from special education classes when she was 23 years old. She attended special needs work programs from then on until she was unable due to an Alzheimer's diagnosis.

Tammy liked to do puzzles, play Uno, swim in her pool, participate in the Special Olympics, and dance the Chicken Dance and the Macarena.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach.
