Dr. Terry Lee Couch, 79, died July 1, 2023 in Boynton Beach, FL. He was born on January 8, 1944 to Mary and George Couch in Middletown, Pennsylvania where he lived until he completed high school and became the first in his family to go to college. He attended Hershey Junior College and Franklin & Marshall College on the Hershey scholarship program and then advanced to Penn State University where he received his PhD in Entomology in 1970. He met his loving wife of 58 years, Sidnye Howell, in Hershey, PA and they were married in 1965. They moved to Waukegan, IL where they raised their family while Terry began his illustrious 40-year career pioneering new bacterial pesticides for the betterment of public health and agriculture. He started at Abbott Laboratories in 1970 and progressed rapidly in his career, most recently serving as the CEO and President of Becker Microbial Products in Parkland, FL, retiring in 2022. Terry was lucky enough to travel the world and enjoyed bringing Sid along whenever he could. He was dedicated to his family and his grandchildren who thought that he held the answers to every question. He was an avid history buff, loved to fish and was a licensed, private pilot and cherished his time flying his airplane until he hung up his wings in 2019.

Terry is survived by his devoted wife Sidnye, daughter Terri Linn and her husband Luke, son Larry and his wife Jill, brother Ronald and his wife Peggy, adored grandchildren Maddie and Monty, along with many beloved friends and family located near and far.
