Ted Geraets was born on July 4, 1935, in the Netherlands. He moved to the United States in 1957. After serving in the Army, he moved to Scranton to work for IBM, where he worked for 32 years. After moving to Scranton, he met his wife, Judy. Judy and Ted were happily married for 43 years. They have lived in Boynton Beach, Florida, enjoying retirement for the last several years. Ted is survived by his wife, Judy, and his three children, Mary (Mechanicsburg, PA), Karen (Scranton, PA), and David (Mechanicsburg, PA). He is also survived by several siblings: Felix Geraets and his wife Zinka (Syracuse, New York); Frans Geraets and his wife Nelli (Netherlands); Harry Geraets and his wife Ali (Australia); Emmy Hulst (Netherlands); and Els Geraets (Netherlands). He was pre-deceased by his parents; his sister, Riet; and his brother-in-law, Kees Hulst. A mass will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 1pm at St. Thomas More RC Church in Boynton Beach, Florida. He will be laid to rest at the South Florida VA National Cemetery.
