Obituary

Thomas Edward Dolly (Tom), 77, passed away on February 13, 2021 at Bethesda East Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL.

Tom was born on July 16, 1943 to parents Bridget (Bridie) Gilmartin and James Dolly.  He grew up in Woodside, Queens - New York with his three late brothers; John (Jack), James (Jimmy) and Joseph and is survived by his sister Maureen. Tom lost his mother when he was a young boy and was then welcomed into his beloved Aunt Nora, Uncle Mike and Cousin Mary Ellen's home.

After graduating St. Agnes High School in Manhattan, Tom enlisted in the armed forces and proudly served his country as a Marine from 1961 to 1963.

Tom worked in maintenance as a superintendent in Scarsdale NY until he went into business with his oldest brother Jack and co-owned The Dolly Brothers delicatessen in College Point, Queens NY.

When the business was sold, Tom packed his bags, gladly leaving the snow behind and relocated to Boynton Beach FL where he has resided for twenty plus years.  Tom had many dear friends in Boynton Beach where his heart and home will always be.

One of Tom's favorite hobbies was fishing and he loved his time out on the boat.   He was also an avid collector and enjoyed designing and displaying his annual Christmas village along with his collection of beer steins.

Viewing will take place on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 2 to 5 pm ET at Boynton Memorial Chapel.  A Graveside Service 10am Friday, February 19, 2021 at Boynton Beach Mausoleum.
