Vincent Roger Guglielmetti passed away on January 7, 2020, in Boynton Beach at the age of 91.
Vincent is survived by his nephews and nieces, Gene, Vivian, Steven, David and Diane in New York and Connecticut. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Cesarina, and his brother John.
A native New Yorker, Vincent was an architect with the New York City Board of Education for over 30 years and chief editor of the New York City chapter of the Construction Specification Institute where he wrote a monthly news column entitled "I Love NY". He was an accomplished artist who created many beautiful portraits and landscapes, having learned the art of painting at the famous Art Student League School in Manhattan. Vince was a talented dancer and instructor for the Arthur Murray Dance Studios.
Vincent loved poetry and wrote over 15 poems many of which appeared in publications from the International Society of poetry and Who's Who in poetry and which earned several editor's choice awards
After retiring and moving to Boynton Beach, Vince volunteered his time as master of ceremonies for close to 10 years for the Palm Beach Leisureville Variety Association where he wrote and delivered many of the narrations and introductions to the fine musical numbers performed by the members at their holiday events. He enjoyed his many years in Florida, was a member of the "Il Circolo" Cultural society and displayed his vocal skills singing with a quartet and playing cards with his many friends. He especially loved going out to dances, restaurants, and theater in the last few years with his friend Marge.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Boynton Memorial Chapel.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020, at 10:00 am, at St. Mark Catholic Church.
