Virginia Mae Gangemi , " Ginny " , 85 , passed away peacefully at home on November 29th , surrounded by her family . Ginny was born on August 1st , 1936 in St . George , South Carolina to Charles and Cleo Brown . She was introduced to the love of her life by her sister Pansy , and after graduating from Metuchen High School in 1954 , she had her first date with Michael Angelo Gangemi . Upon successfully learning to make authentic Italian d ishes under the guidance of her future mother - in - law , she married Mickey on June 8th , 19 57 . Her days were filled with caring for their three children , Joey , Cheryl and Michelle .

Ginny had a passion for tennis , ceramics and "Bunco " with the neighborhood ladies . She also enjoyed her trips with Mickey to Las Vegas , where she never met a slot machine she didn ' t like ! She had a smile and kind word for everyone she met , and even in her later years insisted on giving donations to various charities .

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Michael , her sister Pansy Brown and her brother Charles Brown . She is survived by her sister Ann Schneider , her three children Joseph John Gangemi , Cheryl Frey (B i ll ) , Michelle Grahe ( Joe ), her five grandchildren, and her beloved Baby Bear .

Visitation , including funeral service , will be held from 10 : 30 - 12 : 30pm on Wednesday , December 15th at Boynton Memorial Chapel , 800 W est Boynton Beach Blvd . Burial to follow at 1 : 30pm at South Florida National Cemetery , 65 0 1 South State Road 7 .
