Virginia Mae Doherty, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Laurin Manor Assisted Living in Boynton Beach, Florida under the loving care of Hospice. She was born June 6, 1925 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Halvor and Charlotte (Weigel) Johnson. Better known as "Ginny" she attended Frank Lloyd Wright College, worked as a secretary and selling real estate, loved gardening, reading and life! She was married June 28, 1952 to, the love of her life, Frank A. Doherty for 63 years. She is survived by three children, Colleen Kozma of Hessel, Michigan, John (Connie) of Frisco, Texas and Maureen (Andy) Thibodeau of Wellington, Florida. She has seven grandsons, Keith (Sarah) Kozma, Steve Kozma, Mark Kozma and Erica (Carola) Kozma, Kevin Doherty, Michael Thibodeau and Nicholas Thibodeau. She also has four great grandchildren, Lane, Charlotte and Dylan Kozma and Nicole Thibodeau, and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and one sister, her granddaughter Angelica Thibodeau and her son-in-law Darrell B. Kozma. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Thursday, July 29, 2021 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Boynton Beach with the Rev. Richard Florek officiating. Interment will take place in Stoughton, Wisconsin.
