Age 56 passed away peacefully Thursday evening, June 23, 2011 with his wife by his side. He was an install-repairman for New York Telephone Co. for 26 years, starting right out of high school. He was an avid Union Member and Union Representative for the Local CWA 1120 in Newburgh, NY. After retiring to Florida, he took a job at the local Lantana Ace Hardware and became assistant manager where he worked for nine years.
He is survived by his wife Sydney of Lantana, FL; two step-sons, Ryker and Nicolas Jamieson; a sister, Nancy Moore of Lake Worth, FL; a niece, Heather (Scott) Spencer of Boynton Beach; two grand-nephews, Cameron and Blake; Mother-in-law, Bobbie Cox of Hopeful, GA; Sister-in-law, Staci Green of Henderson, NV; and Brother-in-law, Buck Green of Vass, NC; and a nephew, Rush.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd. Friends may arrive to gather with the family beginning at 2pm. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the family plot in South Georgia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Billy's memory to the donor's favorite charity.
