Mr. Hogan, age 86 of Boynton Beach, FL, died Thursday morning, January 14, 2010. He had been a resident of this area for the last 13 years coming from Dallas, TX. Bill spent his entire working career in oil exploration. He started "doodle bugging" in the US and in 1955 began his journey to exotic locales such as Australia, North Africa, and South America in search of oil. Bill spent 22 years working and exploring the world with his growing family. Mr. Hogan was a life member of VFW Post 3359, Garland, TX.
Two daughters, Diane Jones of Boca Raton, FL, and Donna Hamza of Wilmington, DE; two sons, Walter Hogan of Cape Coral, FL, and Billy Hogan Jarman of Ruston, LA; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his brother Tom Hogan of Mesquite, TX; and his sister Dorothy Hogan Robinson of Tulsa, OK, survive him. His wife Mary; his son William Hogan; and his brother Ed Hogan predeceased Mr. Hogan.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday, January 26th, 2010, at the South Florida VA National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. Those who wish may make contributions to Alzheimer Research or Vitas Hospice in his memory.
